Successful Weekend for US Para-Equestrian Riding Lancelot Warrior

Wellington, Florida, USA February 9, 2015

US Para-equestrian team rider Annie Peavy, 18, won three classes riding her 13 year old Hanoverian gelding Lancelot Warrior (Londonderry x Waroness – Warkant) at the Adequan Global Dressage Festival 5 on February 6-8, 2015 in Wellington, FL. Peavy started the weekend with a score of 68.684% in the FEI Para Grade III Team on Friday, then followed this up on Saturday in the FEI Para Grade III Individual test with 65.366%. The partnership then wrapped up a great weekend by scoring 72.0% in the FEI Para Freestyle III on Sunday.

Peavy was naturally delighted with her performances: “Lance was great at this show. He did everything I asked of him and I can tell our relationship keeps getting stronger. I am very proud of him and excited for what our future has to offer us,” she commented. “I’m also very grateful to be able to compete at the Global Dressage Festival for the winter season to get the show mileage that I need with my horses. It’s a wonderful opportunity to be based with my trainer Heather Blitz so we are better prepared for the summer and fall season when we return to New England.”

Peavy will be based in Wellington through March and compete most weekends until the end of the Florida season. At that time she will return to Cutler Farm in Massachusetts for the rest of the year.
